20 SEAMLESS PHOTOSHOP GRID PATTERNS. Grids, I love ‘em! Today I’m giving away 20 seamless grid patterns for use within your designs. Grids patterns are so versatile that with a few blending options you can create interesting web backgrounds (take a look at Chris Spooner’s Line25 blog), notepaper, blueprints… the options are endless. The Photoshop patterns (.pat) come in both black and white with a transparent background meaning they can be applied to almost any element or colour. Also in the download is a set of 20 500px x 500px transparent .pngs – one for each pattern. Take a look at the preview, I’ve used the white grids set to overlay at 60% opacity. PRETTY LITTLE RED RIBBON (PSD). Today’s freebie is sweet and simple, a pretty little red ribbon. I created this recently for a web project and thought it was worthy of a share, maybe you will find a use for it within your designs – they certainly come in handy! GEL TEXT EFFECTS (PS LAYER STYLES). Again, something that I have never been asked to do by a client, gel/glossy/plastic text, but I fancied the challenge all the same. Today’s freebie is a set of two gel effect text styles. Type your text, add the style, job done. The two styles work best with larger text and are versatile enough to be used with most background colours. The download includes the .asl file and a sample PSD. Enjoy!
HAPPY LITTLE RAIN CLOUD (PSD). Seeing as it’s Friday I thought I’d have a little fun. Today’s freebie is a happy little rain cloud. Yesterday, while munching on my Cheese and Onion Walkers crisps, I happened to notice a great looking rain cloud for their latest promotion on the packet. I loved it so much I wanted to recreate it. Not sure if you’ll get a chance to use it, but at least I had fun making it – it’s all about me don’t you know! The download includes the editable PSD.
14 HIGH RESOLUTION SPLATTER BRUSHES. Another classic, the splatter brush! Today’s freebie is a set of 14 high resolution Photoshop splatter brushes. The 14 brushes in the set range from 500px to 2500px is size giving you enough variation to get creative. The splats were made by dripping calligraphy ink (I got covered, you owe me big time!) but would equally suit blood splats. Don’t forget to share!
